Delhi: Heavy rain, thunderstorm settle pollution woes, air quality improves to ‘moderate’ first time this season

Air quality in the national capital improved from the usual "very poor and severe" to "moderate" category for the first time this season on Tuesday, as rains caused the pollution to settle while strong winds dissipated the particulate matters. Incessant rains accompanied by strong winds through Monday night and early Tuesday in Delhi brought back the winter chills as the mercury dipped several notches.
