Two women prevented from entering Sabarimala temple, later moved to Erumeli

Opposing the entry of women into the Lord Ayyappa temple, protesters on Wednesday stopped two women of the menstruating age, who trekked the Sabarimala hill, police said. Residents of Kannur district, Reshma Nishanth and Shanila attempted to climb the holy hill early Wednesday but were prevented from proceeding to the temple after the devotees spotted them with 'Irumudikettu' (offerings to Lord Ayyappa).
