Starting today, doctors prescription not needed for RT-PCR COVID test in Delhi

Starting today, residents of Delhi can get themselves tested for COVID-19 through RT-PCR, without a doctor's prescription. Earlier, a prescription written by a registered medical practitioner was required at any testing centre, however, now it has been decided that there will be no requirement of a prescription from a qualified medical practitioner. COVID-designated government and private hospitals along with polyclinics are carrying RT-PCR tests. Rapid antigen tests are also being carried out at local healthcare centres, hospitals and camps organised at various places.
